The Play Company has extended its New York-premiere run of Christopher Chen's Caught at La MaMa E.T.C. Originally scheduled to play its final performance on September 17, the production will now run an extra week through September 24. Previews began August 17 in advance of an August 28 opening.

Directed by Lee Sunday Evans, the cast of Caught includes Jennifer Lim (Chinglish), Murphy Guyer (The King and I), Louis Ozawa Changchien (The Bourne Legacy), and Leslie Fray.

In Caught, Chen and Evans apply their playful imaginations to the work of a Chinese dissident artist. This hybrid art-theater work instigates an exploration into the nature of authority and authenticity.

The production features design by Arnulfo Maldonado, Junghyun Georgia Lee, Jeremy S. Bloom, and Barbara Samuels.
