Tony winner Frank Wood (Hughie), Tony nominees Alison Fraser (First Daughter Suite) and Sahr Ngaujah (Fela!), and more will star in Signature Plays, a collection of dramas by Edward Albee, María Irene Fornés, and Adrienne Kennedy at the Pershing Square Signature Center. Lila Neugebauer will direct the Signature Theatre production, which runs May 3-June 12.

The presentation will include Albee's The Sandbox, Fornés’ Drowning, and Kennedy's Funnyhouse of a Negro. All three were produced during their author’s original Playwright-in-Residence season at Signature and are being presented together for the first time, celebrating Signature’s rich and diverse history over the past quarter century.

Joining Wood, Fraser, and Ngaujah are Nicholas Bruder (Angel Reapers), Crystal Dickinson (You Can't Take It With You), Pia Glenn (You're Welcome America), Ryan-James Hatanaka (Big Love), Mikeah Ernest Jennings (World of Wires), January LaVoy (Seven Guitars), April Matthis (Hollow Roots), and Phyllis Somerville (The Big C).

The creative team includes Mimi Lien (scenic design), Kaye Voyce (costume design), Mark Barton (lighting design), and Brandon Wolcott (sound design and original music).
