Spamilton, the musical sendup of the Broadway blockbuster Hamilton, has extended its run at the Triad where it is currently in preview performances. Tickets are now on sale through October 30, with an official opening set for September 8.

Forbidden Broadway creator Gerard Alessandrini penned the musical roast, produced by John Freedson, Christine Pedi, and David Zippel. The cast features Juwan Crawley, Chris Anthony Giles, Nicholas Alexander Rodriguez, Dan Rosales, and Nora Schell, with music director Fred Barton at the piano. Surprise guest stars, including Christine Pedi, will also join the cast weekly.

The creative team of Spamilton includes Gerry McIntyre (choreography), Dustin Cross (costume design), Richard Danley (musical arrangements), and Michael Cassara, CSA (casting director).

Spamilton has additionally instituted a 10-cent ticket lottery (#Spam4Roosevelt based on FDR on the American dime), inspired by the popular #Ham4Ham lottery tradition being offered before select performances of Hamilton at the Richard Rodgers Theatre. Participants may enter the lottery in person at the Triad 40 minutes prior to curtain time to enter their names for the chance to see that evening’s performance (limit of one entry per person and up to two tickets per winner). Names will be chosen at random 30 minutes prior ti the show by Alessandrini.
