Solo performer Hershey Felder will add one week to his performance as legendary composer Leonard Bernstein in Maestro, now running at 59E59 Theaters. Performances will now run through October 23, with tickets for the extension week going on sale Friday, September 16, at 10am.

Spanning the entire 20th century, Maestro combines Leonard Bernstein’s personal story and music with the music of classical composers and contemporaries who inspired him. Leonard Bernstein, arguably America’s greatest musician, broke through every artistic ceiling possible to become the world’s musical ambassador.

The show marks Felder's return to 59E59 Theaters, following his Drama Desk-nominated The Pianist of Willesden Lane, which he both adapted and directed. Maestro, directed by Joel Zwick, is the follow-up to Felder’s Maestro Bernstein, which played a one-night-only engagement at Town Hall where it was broadcast live worldwide on the WFMT Radio Network.
