Casting has been announced for Cate Ryan's new play In the Secret Sea, a work that will play the Beckett Theatre at Theatre Row for five weeks this spring. Directed by Annie cocreator Martin Charnin, it will begin previews April 15 and open April 21, running through May 21.

The company will include Charnin's wife, Shelly Burch (Nine), Paul Carlin (Temporal Powers), Malachy Cleary (The Field), Glynnis O’Connor (Our Town), and Adam Petherbridge (Da).

In the play, a newly married couple and their parents confront a life-and-death decision. The outcome will change all of their lives forever. Full casting will be announced in the coming weeks.

The creative team includes Beowulf Boritt and Alexis Distler (scenic design), Ken Billington (lighting design), and Suzy Benzinger (costume design). In the Secret Sea is produced by Wellington Road, LLC.
