INTAR and InViolet Theater have announced the world premiere of Neighbors: A Fair Trade Agreement, a new play by Bernardo Cubría, in a production directed by Lou Moreno and starring Andrew Blair and Gerardo Rodriguez. It will run September 10-October 7 at Intar Theatre, with opening night set for September 17.

Cubría's play is described as follows: "José and Joe are neighbors, but have never found the time to get to know one another. When José asks Joe for help, the two men become friends and finally get to know the man on the other side of the creek. But as their bond grows so does their business, and the sacrifices they once made for profit come back to bite them in the culo. What turns amigos into enemigos? What turns nations into rivals?"

The creative team for Neighbors will include Raul Abrego (set design), Andrea Hood (costume design), Christina Watanabe (lighting design), and Bart Fasbender (sound design).

INTAR, one of the United States' longest-running Latino theaters producing in English, works to nurture the professional development of Latino theater artists and produce bold, innovative, artistically significant plays that reflect diverse perspectives.
