Tony Award nominees Kate Baldwin (John & Jen) and Erin Dilly (A Christmas Story) will star in 59E59 Theaters' upcoming production of the new musical Songbird. Written by Michael Kimmel (The Last Goodbye) and Lauren Pritchard (Spring Awakening), the production will begin performances October 20 at the venue's Theater A, with a limited engagement scheduled to conclude on November 29.

Baldwin and Dilly join a cast that includes Kacie Sheik (Hair), Andy Taylor (Once), Ephie Aardema (The Bridges of Madison County) and Adam Cochran (The Last Goodbye). Dilly replaces Amy Spanger, who had been previously expected to be part of the cast.

Songbird is inspired by Anton Chekhov's The Seagull and tells the story about a fading country star who returns home to Nashville to help the son she abandoned launch his own career.

JV Mercanti directs the production, which is produced by Allison Bressi and Diana Buckhantz, by special association with Less Than Rent Theatre. Additional information will be announced in the coming weeks.
