Peter Scolari will play baseball player Pete Rose in two invite-only industry performances of Banned From Baseball, a new play by first-time playwright Patricia O'Hara, on July 17, 3pm and 7 pm, at Studio Theatre at Theatre Row.

A finalist in the 2016 New American Playwright Competition, Banned From Baseball is described as follows: "Major League Baseball and former president of Yale University, Bart Giamatti, and baseball's reigning Hit King, Pete Rose, engage in a personal and legal combat for the soul of America’s Pastime: a titanic battle that will leave Rose banned from baseball for life and Giamatti dead of a heart attack eight days after banishing Rose."

Jason Kravits (Relatively Speaking) will play Giamatti. The additional cast includes Bradford Cover, Patrick Frederic, Curtis Longfellow, Jon Shaver, and Steve Vinovich. Margarett Perry will direct.
