MCC Theater has released production photos from its off-Broadway production of Ride the Cyclone. The new musical, which makes its New York premiere, is set to open November 30 for a run through December 18 at the Lucille Lortel Theatre. The musical made its U.S. premiere in 2015 at Chicago Shakespeare Theater.

The third musical in MCC's 30-year history, Ride the Cyclone has book, music, and lyrics by Jacob Richmond and Brooke Maxwell. Rachel Rockwell directs the production, which features original Chicago cast members Tiffany Tatreau, Lillian Castillo, Karl Hamilton, Emily Rohm, and Kholby Wardell. Alex Wyse (Deaf West's Spring Awakening), Gus Halper (Goat), Johnny Newcomb (The Last Ship), and Emily Walton (Peter and the Starcatcher) complete the ensemble.

The story is described as follows: "The Saint Cassian High School Chamber Choir will board the Cyclone roller coaster at 8:17pm. At 8:19 the front axle will break, sending them to their tragic demise. A mechanical fortune teller invites each to tell the story of a life interrupted — with the promise of a prize like no other."

The creative team includes scenic design by Scott Davis, costume design by Theresa Ham, lighting by Greg Hofmann, sound by Garth Helm, and projections by Mike Tutaj. Musical supervision is by Doug Peck with musical direction by Remy Kurs.
