Rattlestick Announces Orlandersmith's Until the Flood and Deen's Draw the Circle

The two new solo plays will run in repertory.

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater has announced a pair of solo plays in repertory: Dael Orlandersmith's Until the Flood and Mashuq Mushtaq Deen's Draw the Circle.

Until the Flood, directed by Neel Keller, begins previews January 6 with opening night set for January 18. Draw the Circle, directed by Chay Yew, begins previews January 24, with opening night set for February 2.

Orlandersmith's work is set in the wake of the shooting of Michael Brown. The production features set design by Takeshi Kata, costume design by Kaye Voyce, lighting design by Mary Louise Geiger, sound design by Justin Ellington, and projection design by Nick Hussong.

Deen's play explores the familial struggle that occurs when a child transitions from one gender to another. The production features set by Yew, lighting design by Geiger, and sound design by Matthew M. Nielson.
