Roundabout Theatre Company Launches Fourth Annual Underground Reading Series

Up-and-coming playwrights will be featured in five nights of free performances.

Roundabout Theatre Company has announced the fourth annual Roundabout Underground Reading Series. The five-night event, running from May 4-8, will include nightly readings of new plays written and directed by emerging artists, curtain speeches by Roundabout Underground artist alumni, and post-show receptions.

The 2015 series will feature The Saints, written by Nathan Dame and directed by Adrienne Campbell-Holt; Mechanics of Love, written by Dipika Guha and directed by Gaye Taylor Upchurch; Kingdom Come, written by Jenny Rachel Weiner and directed by Kip Fagan; The Midnight Ride of Sean & Lucy, written by Amy E. Witting and directed by Daniella Topol; and Zero Feet Away, written by Brian Otaño and directed by Stephen Brackett.

The reading series will be held at the 62-seat Black Box Theatre at The Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre. There will be one reading each night, with performances beginning at 7pm. Tickets are free.
