Sgt. Stubby: The Great American War Dog Musical to Make New York Premiere

The new show from Jack Dyville and Lawrence Wankel celebrates the most decorated war dog of World War I.

Sgt. Stubby: The Great American War Dog Musical, featuring a book and lyrics by Jack Dyville and music and lyrics by Lawrence Wankel, will make its New York premiere on November 12 at St. Luke's Theatre. Directed by Dyville, the production will officially open on December 3.

According to press materials, "Sergeant Stubby has been called the most decorated war dog of World War I…He was the official mascot of the 102nd Infantry Regiment (United States), assigned to the 26th (Yankee) Division."

The cast of Sgt. Stubby: The Great American War Dog Musical features Matt Weinstein, Meghan Miller, Daniel Joseph Baker, Bryan Ernesto Menjivar, Patrick Steven Bovo, Zach Green, Richard Lisenby, Kate Zulauf, and Taylor Grace Sumner.

Darin Chumbley serves as choreographer with Ray Naccari as musical director.
