The doors are open for business at the Barrow Street Theatre's transfer of the Tooting Arts Club revival of Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd.

The production comes to Manhattan following sold-out runs in London where the show debuted in Harrington's Pie and Mash Shop, the oldest continuously operating pie shop in Britain. Directed by Bill Buckhurst, the working pie-shop environment is re-created at the Barrow Street. The revival opens March 1.

A host of Broadway and UK stage vets star in the New York City revival of Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler’s classic musical. The original stars of the London mounting, Jeremy Secomb (as Sweeney Todd), Siobhán McCarthy (as Mrs. Lovett), Duncan Smith (as Judge Turpin) and Joseph Taylor (as Tobias), reprise their performances for New York audiences. They are joined by Broadway vets Matt Doyle (as Anthony), Alex Finke (as Johanna), Betsy Morgan (as Pirelli and the Beggar Woman), and Brad Oscar (as The Beadle). Colin Anderson, Liz Pearce, and Monet Sabel complete the cast.
