York Theatre's You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown to Release Revival Cast Recording

The young stars of the Peanuts musical will head to the recording studio.

The all-kid cast of the York Theatre Company's production of You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown will record a brand-new album of the 1967 musical on Monday, June 13, to be released by Broadway Records. The album will be available on iTunes and other retailers on September 16.

You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown features a book, music, and lyrics by Clark Gesner, with additional material by Andrew Lippa and Michael Mayer. The musical made its Broadway debut in 1971 and received a Tony-nominated revival in 1999, directed by Michael Mayer.

The company, performing now through June 26, stars Joshua Colley (Elf) as Charlie Brown, Gregory Diaz (School of Rock) as Schroeder, Aidan Gemme (Finding Neverland) as Snoopy, Milly Shapiro (Matilda The Musical) as Sally, Mavis Simpson-Ernst (Evita) as Lucy, and Jeremy T. Villas (Kinky Boots) as Linus. Graydon Peter Yosowitz (The Odyssey) will perform the role of Charlie Brown from June 1-7. The production is directed by the York's associate artistic director Michael Unger with music direction by Eric Svejcar.
