The York Theatre Company announced the lineup for its winter 2018 Musicals in Mufti series, which is celebrating the work of composer Jule Styne. Set to begin its 22nd year, Musicals in Mufti is a series of musical theater gems performed in simply staged, book-in-hand concerts. All performances will take place at the York Theatre Company at Saint Peter's.

The series will include three musicals, all of which feature music composed by Styne.

Hallelujah, Baby!, with lyrics by Betty Comden and Adolph Green and a book by Arthur Laurents, kicks off the season January 27-February 4, 2018. This presentation will mark the New York premiere of the revised version Laurents created for productions at the George Street Playhouse and Arena Stage in 2004 and 2005, with additional lyrics by Amanda Green. Gerry McIntyre will direct.

Bar Mitzvah Boy, with lyrics by Don Black and a book by Jack Rosenthal, follows February 10-18, 2018. Styne's only musical written expressly for London, this presentation marks the New York premiere of a new version first presented in London in 2016, with a book adapted by David Thompson and new songs with lyrics by Black, using previously unheard Styne melodies. Annette Jolles will direct.

Finally, the season ends with Subways Are for Sleeping, with books and lyrics by Comden and Green, February 24-March 4, 2018. Stuart Ross will direct.

Casting and other creative team members will be announced later.
