Broadway and screen vet Zachary Quinto (The Glass Menagerie) will return to the stage in MCC Theater's upcoming production of Noah Haidle's Smokefall. Anne Kauffman directs the drama, which runs February 4-March 13 at the Lucille Lortel Theatre.

The play is described as follows: "Magical realism collides with manic vaudeville in a family drama unlike any you've ever seen. The Twins swap philosophy while awaiting their birth, Beauty eats dirt and doesn't speak, Father is about to drive away and never return, and a man named Footnote acts as our guide. Whipping from astonishing tenderness to profound humor and back again, this wholly original play uncovers the extraordinary family connections we all stretch and warp across the years but can never quite break." Smokefall had its world premiere at Chicago's Goodman Theatre.

Quinto received an Emmy nomination for his performance on American Horror Story: Asylum and is perhaps best known for his work as Spock in the recent Star Trek film series. On Broadway, he played Tom in John Tiffany's acclaimed revival of The Glass Menageire and took on the role of Louis in Michael Greif's off-Broadway revival of Angels in America.

Additional casting will be announced. The creative team includes Mimi Lien (scenic design), David Weiner (lighting design), Asta Hostetter (costume design), and Lindsay Jones (Sound design).
