World Premiere of Ferguson Releases New Photos

Phelim McAleer’s docudrama depicts the events of the Grand Jury’s decision to not indict Darren Wilson.

Theatre Verite Collective's world-premiere production of Phelim McAleer's Ferguson, directed by Jerry Dixon, recently began performances at the 30th Street Theatre. New photos of the strictly limited run (through November 5) have been released ahead of opening night, October 23.

Ferguson is described as "a staged version of the Grand Jury testimony exactly as it was heard it in the courtroom" in the case following Michael Brown's shooting by police officer Darren Wilson.

The cast includes Cedric Benjamin as Dorian Johnson, Kim Brockington as Sheila Whirley, Paul DeBoy as Bob McCullough, Ian Campbell Dunn as Darren Wilson, Chaundre Hall-Broomfield as Mark Williams, Sarah Nedwek as Kathi Alizadeh, Geoffrey Dawe, LaVonda Elam, Jonathan Miles, Ben Prayz, Kevin Sims, Carol Todd, and Renika Williams.

The creative team includes Jason Simms (set designer), Charlotte Seelig (lighting designer), Martín Lara Avila (costume designer), Jeremy Earhart (sound designer and composer), Trevor "TK" Kuprel (sound designer and composer), and Caroline M. Trewet (video and projections designer).
