Desi Oakley, Jeremy Morse, and More to Star in Waitress National Tour

Sara Bareilles and Jessie Nelson’s musical has found the cast for its cross-country production.

Desi Oakley, Charity Angél Dawson, and Lenne Klingaman will star in the national tour of Sara Bareilles and Jessie Nelson's musical Waitress.

Oakley will take on the leading role of Jenna, with Klingaman as Dawn, and current Broadway cast member Dawson reprising her performance as Becky. They will be joined by fellow Broadway cast members Larry Marshall as Old Joe and Jeremy Morse as Ogie, alongside Bryan Fenkart as Dr. Pomatter, Nick Bailey as Earl, and Ryan G. Dunkin as Cal. The ensemble includes Skyler Adams, Law Terrell Dunford, Patrick Dunn, Jim Hogan, David Hughey, Arica Jackson, Kyra Kennedy, Emily Koch, Maiesha McQueen, Gerianne Pérez, and Grace Stockdale.

The national tour premieres at Connor Palace in Cleveland on October 17.

Waitress premiered in 2015 at American Repertory Theater in Boston and currently runs on Broadway at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre. The musical is directed by Diane Paulus, choreographed by Lorin Latarro, and designed by Scott Pask (sets), Suttirat Larlarb (costumes), Christopher Akerlind (lighting), and Jonathan Deans (sound).
