Philadelphia's historic Walnut Street Theatre has announced the lineup of productions scheduled for its 210th season.

Irving Berlin's Holiday Inn (September 4-October 21) will open the season. Based on the classic film, the show features a score of Berlin standards including "Blue Skies," "Easter Parade," "White Christmas," "Steppin' Out With My Baby," "Heat Wave," "Cheek to Cheek," among others.

Matilda the Musical (November 6-January 6, 2019) will follow for the holiday season. Based on the iconic Roald Dahl novel, the musical earned 13 Tony nominations for its 2013 Broadway mounting, including a nomination for Tim Minchin's score and a win for Dennis Kelly's book.

Next will be Ken Ludwig's A Comedy of Tenors (March 12-April 28, 2019) — a sequel to Ludwig's Tony-nominated farce Lend Me a Tenor. Walnut Street Theatre veteran Frank Ferrante will lead the cast.

Simon Stephens's Tony-winning play, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, will be the fourth production of the Walnut Street season. Based on Mark Haddon's best-selling novel, the story follows Christopher, a brilliant but unique boy, who is compelled to
investigate the untimely death of his neighbor's dog.

Closing out the season will be Legally Blonde: The Musical (May 14-June 30, 2019). The hit 2001 film was adapted for the stage by Laurence O'Keefe, Nell Benjamin, and Heather Hach, and earned seven 2007 Tony nominations, including Best Original Score and Best Book of a Musical.
