Gordon Gray, Matt Kopec Among Stars of Elf National Tour

Casting has been announced for the upcoming national tour of Elf the Musical, which will kick off at the Providence Performing Arts Center in Rhode Island November 4-10. Sam Scalmoni will direct, with choreography by Connor Gallagher.

Based on the 2003 film, Elf is the tale of Buddy, a young orphan child who mistakenly crawls into Santa’s bag of gifts and is transported back to the North Pole, where he is raised as an elf and unaware that he is actually human. Eventually, he returns to New York City to find his real family.

The musical features songs by Matthew Sklar and Chad Beguelin and a book by Tony Award winners Thomas Meehan and Bob Martin.

The cast will feature Matt Kopec (Buddy), Connor Barth (Michael), Jen Bechter (Deb), Gordon Gray (Santa), Kate Hennies (Jovie), Julia Louise Hosack (Emily), Royce McIntosh (Mr. Greenway), Drew Pulver (Waiter), and Clyde Voce (Manager) as well as Elizabeth Burton, Robyn DeGuzman, Ian Frazier, Mary Gabrielle, Paul Ianniello, Chandon Jones, Drew King, Emily Catherine Larger, Nick Lorenzini, Lauren Palmeri, Shaun Repetto, Angelica Richie, Jack Robbins, Ben Russell-Lynch, and Dennis Setteducati.

Additional tour stops will include the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center in Appleton, Wisconsin (November 13-18); Straz Center for the Performing Arts) in Tampa, Florida (November 20-25); the Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall in Fort Myers, Florida,(November 27-December 2) and Ordway Center for the Performing Arts) in St. Paul, Minnesota (December 5-30).
