Tony- and Olivier Award-nominated actor Euan Morton (Taboo) will take on the title role in the national tour of Hedwig and the Angry Inch, the 2014 Tony Award-winning Best Musical Revival, beginning today at the San Diego Civic Theater.

Directed by Tony winner Michael Mayer (Spring Awakening), John Cameron Mitchell and Stephen Trask's Hedwig and the Angry Inch tells the story of "internationally ignored song stylist" Hedwig Robinson. She is out to set the record straight about her life, her loves, and the botched operation that left her with that "angry inch."

The members of Hedwig's band, the Angry Inch (also known as Tits of Clay), are music director Justin Craig (guitar and keyboards), Matt Duncan (bass), Tim Mislock (guitar), and Peter Yanowitz (drums), all of whom originated their roles on Broadway and launched the National Tour in San Francisco last month.

Hannah Corneau stars opposite Morton as Yitzhak, with Mason Alexander Park (standby for Hedwig), Shannon Conley (standby for Yitzhak), Dylan Fusillo (standby for Schlatko), and Matt Katz-Bohen (standby for Skszp, Jacek and Krzyzhtoff) rounding out the company.

Morton and Corneau take over for Darren Criss and Tony winner Lena Hall, respectively, who kicked off the tour on additional stops in California.

The creative team for Hedwig and the Angry Inch features Spencer Liff (musical staging), Julian Crouch (scenic design), Arianne Phillips (costume design), four-time Tony Award winner Kevin Adams (lighting design), Mike Potter (hair and makeup design), Tim O'Heir (sound design), Benjamin Pearcy for 59 Productions (projection design), and John Bair/Phosphene (animation).

Following a one-week engagement in San Diego, the national tour of Hedwig and the Angry Inch will then continue to play major cities across North America through July 2017 with Morton and Corneau.
