Megan McGinnis to Lead Cast of Paul Gordon's Sense and Sensibility Musical

The production will play San Diego’s Old Globe Theatre.

Megan McGinnis (Daddy Long Legs) will head the cast of the new Paul Gordon musical Sense and Sensibility, set to run from July 6-August 14 at San Diego's Old Globe Theatre under the direction of Barbara Gaines. The work is presented in association with Chicago Shakespeare Theater, where it was commissioned and had its world premiere in April 2015.

McGinnis will take on the role of Marianne Dashwood, alongside Sharon Rietkerk (Gunmetal Blues) as Elinor Dashwood. The company also includes Emily Berman as Lucy Steele, Sean Allan Krill as Colonel Brandon, Colin Morgan as Mr. Harris, Brian Ray Norris as Lord Middleton, Peter Saide as Mr. Willoughby, David Schlumpf as John Dashwood, Paula Scrofano as Mrs. Jennings, Elizabeth Telford as Miss Grey, Jill Van Velzer as Fanny Dashwood, and Wayne Alan Wilcox as Edward Ferrars, as well as Matthew Keffer, Megan Long, Melinda Gilb, James Rank, Connor Sullivan, and Kelsey Venter.

Inspired by Jane Austen's novel, the production features book, music, and lyrics by Gordon (Daddy Long Legs), and is developed with Rick Boynton. The creative team includes Laura Bergquist (music director), Matt Raftery (choreographer), Kevin Depinet (scenic design), Susan E. Mickey (costume design), Donald Holder (lighting design), Ray Nardelli (sound design), Larry Hochman and Bruce Coughlin (orchestrations), Curtis Moore (musica supervisor and additional arrangements), and Harrison McEldowney (original production choreographer).
