Eddie Izzard to Workshop New Solo Show in August

Eddie Izzard, who earned a Tony Award nomination for his role in A Day in the Death of Joe Egg, will workshop a new solo show at San Francisco’s Marines Memorial Theatre on Sunday, August 5 and Monday, August 6. The following week, on Saturday, August 11, and Sunday, August 12, Izzard will present the same show at the Seattle Repertory Theatre. All performances are scheduled for 8:00pm.

Izzard’s previous solo shows include Dress to Kill, which won Emmy Awards for Outstanding Individual Performance and Outstanding Writing, Live at the Ambassadors, Unrepeatable, Circle, Definite Article, Glorious, and Sexie. The Brit’s London stage credits include Lenny, a biography of notorious comedian Lenny Bruce, and the world premiere of David Mamet’s The Cryptogram.

Currently starring in The Riches on FX, Izzard’s resume also includes roles in Ocean’s Twelve, Ocean’s Thirteen, Velvet Goldmine, Shadow of the Vampire, The Cat’s Meow, My Super Ex-Girlfriend and Across the Universe.
