Berkeley Repertory Theatre has announced four of the seven shows that will make up its 2016-17 season.

The quartet of productions are Jeff Augustin's The Last Tiger in Haiti, a coproduction with La Jolla Playhouse directed by Joshua Kahan Brody; the American premiere of Kneehigh's 946: The Amazing Story of Adolphus Tips directed by Emma Rice; Robert Askins' Tony-nominated comedy Hand to God directed by David Ivers; and Lisa Loomer's Roe, a coproduction with Oregon Shakespeare Festival and Arena Stage.

"Each season, we offer a range of stories that we hope unlock new ideas, new ways of connecting with our community, and even new ways of thinking about theatre itself," artistic director Tony Taccone said in a statement. "This year we offer our audiences vibrant new works that range from Kneehigh’s latest music-infused creation to the fallout of high-stakes politics and an irreverent religious satire. There is definitely something for everyone."

Full casting, dates, and season lineup will be announced in the coming months.
