Lerner and Loewe’s Paint Your Wagon to Star Robert Cuccioli
Seattle's 5th Avenue Theatre has announced that Tony nominee Robert Cuccioli will star in its upcoming reinvention of Lerner and Loewe’s Paint Your Wagon. The production is set to run from June 2-25, with an opening night on June 9. 5th Avenue executive producer and artistic director David Armstrong directs.
With a new book adaptation by Jon Marans, music by Frederick Loewe, and book and lyrics by Alan J. Lerner, Paint Your Wagon follows the rise and fall of a remote mining town during the height of the Gold Rush. The musical features beloved Lerner and Loewe tunes including "They Call the Wind Maria," "I Talk to the Trees," and "I Was Born Under a Wand’rin’ Star."
In addition to Cuccioli (Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark), who will take on the role of Ben Rumson, the cast will include Kendra Kassebaum (Wicked) as Cayla and Justin Gregory Lopez (Bare) as Armando.
Lerner and Loewe’s Paint Your Wagon will be choreographed by Josh Rhodes with
music direction by Ian Eisendrath.
