Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion begins performances tonight at 5th Avenue Theatre.

Featuring a book by Robin Schiff and a score from Gwendolyn Sanford and Brandon Jay, Romy and Michele's High School Reunion is directed by Kristin Hanggi with choreography by Peggy Hickey. Based on the 1997 cult hit film, which recently celebrated a highly publicized 20th anniversary, Romy and Michele are two inseparable best friends whose relationship is put to the test when they invent fake careers to impress people at their 10-year high school reunion.

The cast features Cortney Wolfson as Romy White, Stephanie Renee Wall as Michele Weinberger, Michael Thomas Grant as Sandy Frink, Jordan Kai Burnett as Heather Mooney, Hannah Schuerman as Toby Walters, Tess Soltau as Christie Masters, Danielle Kelsey as Kelly Possenger, Kate E. Cook as Cheryl Cook, Autumn Guzzardi as Lisa Luder, and Michael Starr as Billy Christianson. Eric Ankrim, Trina Mills, Taylor Niemeyer, James Tabeek, Leigh Wakeford, and Louis Wililams Jr. complete the ensemble.

The creative team includes Donyale Werle (scenic design), Amy Clark (costume design), Jason Lyons (lighting design), Christopher Walker (sound design) and Mary Pyanowski Jones (hair and makeup design). Erin B. Zatloka is the production stage manager with Rachel Bury and Shellie Stone as assistant stage managers.

Performances continue through July 2.
