Lake Worth Playhouse Announces 2008-2009 Season

The Lake Worth Playhouse has announced its line-up for the 2008-2009 season.

The season will start with the foot-stomping musical Big River: The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. Leading Ladies by Ken Ludwig will be next, a farce about two men trying to claim an inheritance only to find out they must dress as women. The third production and second musical of the season will be Nunsense. Arthur Miller’s The Crucible will follow, and the season will close with Always…Patsy Cline, a fact based musical filled with 27 Cline songs such as “Walkin’ After Midnight,” and “Crazy.”

The Playhouse will also produce two additional shows. South Florida’s July audiences will be treated to Hair, to be directed and choreographed by Carbonell Award nominated Robert Dawson. Also, The Woman in Black, a classic ghost story adapted from Susan Hill’s best selling novel, will be staged October 30-November 1.
