Treat Williams and Stephen Adly Guirgis to Star in David Mamet's American Buffalo

The drama will be directed by John Gould Rubin.

Treat Williams (Everwood) and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Stephen Adly Guirgis (Between Riverside and Crazy) will star in Dorset Playhouse's summertime production of David Mamet's American Buffalo. The drama will run August 24-September 2 under the direction of John Gould Rubin.

As previously announced, Dorset's season will also include Theresa Rebeck’s Downstairs, starring brother and sister Tim Daly and Tyne Daly, who will be appearing together onstage for the first time. Helmed by resident director Adrienne Campbell-Holt, Downstairs will run for 16 performances from June 22-July 8 at the Dorset Playhouse. John Procaccino rounds out the cast.

The season will also include Ken Ludwig's Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery (July 13-29) and Matthew Lopez's The Legend of Georgia McBride (August 3-19). Readings of new plays by Mona Mansou, Lauren Yee, and Paola Lázaro will also take place.
