"Old Pro" Tyne Daly Shines in Mother and Sons

Audiences respond to Terrence McNally's Tony-nominated four-hander.

Terrence McNally's latest Tony-nominated drama, Mothers and Sons, is now playing at Broadway's John Golden Theatre. The production stars Emmy and Tony winner Tyne Daly in her Tony-nominated role of Katharine Gerard, a grieving mother who lost her son Andre to AIDS over two decades ago. After unexpectedly appearing at the Upper West Side apartment of Andre's ex-lover, who she finds is now married with a young son, many of her old demons come back to haunt her. Listen as one of the play's four stars, Bobby Steggert, talk about its message of compassion while audiences react to the poignant new piece.
