The opening night of Tim Minchin and Danny Rubin's new musical Groundhog Day was touch and go for a little while. After all, how could they open without their leading man, Andy Karl, who injured his knee mid-show just 72 hours before? But Karl pulled through and made it to his and the show's big night on Broadway. It was an emotional experience for all involved.
