EXCLUSIVE: Broadway's Bandstand Commemorates D-Day With Salute to Veterans

The new musical tells the story of a group of soldiers who form a band after returning home from World War II.

In honor of the 73rd anniversary of D-Day, the Broadway production of Bandstand welcomed U.S.O. veterans to the stage for a special commemoration and salute. The new musical, which stars Corey Cott and Laura Osnes, explores the veteran experience and tells the story of a group of soldiers who form a band in an effort to get their lives back together following World War II. Bandstand is the first Broadway production to be "6 Certified" by Got Your 6, a nonprofit organization that highlights projects that portray narratives about military personnel and their families accurately. TheaterMania was on hand to capture the emotional curtain call, led by leading man Cott.
