Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron, Zendaya on Creating the New Movie-Musical The Greatest Showman

Dear Evan Hansen scribes Benj Pasek and Justin Paul pen the songs for the film about P.T. Barnum.

When Hugh Jackman started pitching an idea about circus impresario P.T. Barnum, it had been two decades since a film studio had given the green light to an entirely original movie-musical. Now, The Greatest Showman, with Jackman in the title role, a score by Dear Evan Hansen Tony winners Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, and a cast that also includes Zac Efron, Zendaya, and Tony nominee Keala Settle, is about to hit big screens. The experience was akin to creating a Broadway show from top to bottom, and, in Settle's words, every take was like an opening-night performance.
