Before Seinfeld's George Costanza shot Jason Alexander to stardom, he was making the audition rounds with the rest of New York's theater actors. One of these auditions happened to be for the 1985 Broadway production of Singin' in the Rain, directed and choreographed by the great Twyla Tharp. And as it turns out, a sarcastic remark can do more damage than subpar tap dancing.
