Meet Sutton Foster and the Cast of Broadway's Violet

Jeanine Tesori's first musical finally gets its chance at Broadway.

Two-time Tony Award winner Sutton Foster reprises her starring turn in the Encores! performance of Violet for the first-ever Broadway mounting of Tony-nominated composer Jeanine Tesori's inaugural musical. Tesori and book writer/lyricist Brian Crawley return to the piece, which tells the story of a girl named Violet who travels cross-country seeking out a televangelist to remove a disfiguring scar from her face. TheaterMania caught up with Foster and her costars Colin Donnell, Joshua Henry, and Alexander Gemignani, who shared their excitement about bringing the musical to the Broadway stage and offered their take on the musical's journey of joy, love, and acceptance.
