Tony Shalhoub and Santino Fontana Reintroduce Broadway to Moss Hart and Act One

TheaterMania goes behind the scenes with the cast of the new play, inspired by Hart's acclaimed memoir.

Moss Hart's memoir, Act One, is widely considered one of the best books about working in theater, and now, it's coming to Broadway. Adapted and directed by James Lapine, the Lincoln Center Theater production stars Tony Shalhoub and Santino Fontana as playwright Hart himself, as well as Tony-winning Broadway veterans like Andrea Martin and Chuck Cooper in a variety of roles. In the midst of the rehearsal process, the cast took time to reintroduce the theater world to Hart and explain how his rags-to-riches story will make an incredibly relatable drama, whether you love Broadway or not.
