Christopher Jackson Joins Sutton Foster and On Your Feet! for July 4th Celebration

Hamilton Tony nominee Christopher Jackson has been added to the performers set for PBS' Independence Day celebration A Capitol Fourth. The event, which will be hosted by Emmy Award-winning television personality Tom Bergeron, will honor America's 240th birthday from the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. The 36th annual broadcast of A Capitol Fourth will air on July 4, from 8pm to 9:30pm.

A Capitol Fourth will also feature performances by the Broadway musical On Your Feet!, Glee's Amber Riley, Tony Award winner Sutton Foster, Grammy Award winner Smokey Robinson, Grammy Award winner Kenny Loggins, Gavin DeGraw, Cassadee Pope, Jackie Evancho, and the National Symphony Orchestra under the direction of top pops conductor Jack Everly. Alisan Porter, the Season 10 winner of The Voice, will open the show with a special performance of the National Anthem.

Also participating in the event will be the Choral Arts Society of Washington, Patrick Lundy & the Ministers of Music, the U.S. Army Ceremonial Band, the U.S. Army Herald Trumpets, Members of the Armed Forces carrying the State and Territorial Flags and the Armed Forces Color Guard provided by the Military District of Washington, D.C.
