Wicked Announces Events Leading Up to 15th Anniversary

The Empire State Building will turn green on October 30.

Wicked will celebrate its 15th anniversary with a series of events throughout New York City during the month of October.

Cupcake company Baked by Melissa has designed an exclusive Wicked cupcake, which will be available at all 14 retail locations and for nationwide shipping. Cookie shop Schmackary's will premiere Elphaba- and Glinda-inspired cookies. Ben & Jerry's will premiere custom Elphaba and Glinda ice cream sand-"witches," available at their Times Square and Rockefeller Center locations October 26-November 30.

The NBC Experience Store in Rockefeller Plaza will present a display of Wicked memorabilia and merchandise, October 15-31. INGLOT Cosmetics will release a Wicked-inspired makeup collection, sold at their Times Square location and online.

On October 30, the anniversary itself, current stars Jessica Vosk and Amanda Jane Cooper will light the Empire State Building, which will turn green at night to honor the show.

All of this is in addition to the previously announced anniversary concert, to air October 29 on NBC, hosted by original stars Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth.
