Two-time Tony nominee Josie de Guzman will play Maggie Cutler in the Alley Theatre’s production of Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman’s The Man Who Came to Dinner, to run February 20-March 22, with an opening set for February 25. Tony winner John Rando will direct.
The production will also star James Black as Sheridan Whiteside and Elizabeth Heflin as Lorraine Sheldon, with the cast including Jeffrey Bean, James Belcher, Marjorie Carroll, Bettye Fitzpatrick, Sarah Gaston, Adam N. Gibbs, Paul Hope, Chris Hutchison, Kimberly King, Charles Krohn, Christianne Mays, Kalob Martinez, Emily Neves, Justin O’Brien, Spencer Plachy, Anne Quackenbush, John Tyson, and Todd Waite.
The design team will include Alexander Dodge (set), Gregory Gale (costumes), and Pat Collins (lighting).
De Guzman received Tony nominations for West Side Story and Guys and Dolls. She previously appeared in the Alley’s production of The Clean House. Rando won a Tony for his direction of Urinetown, and other Main Stem credits include The Wedding Singer and The Dinner Party.
