Since July 2012, Amy Poehler has been taking to YouTube in a series she calls Smart Girls, in which she answers questions from viewers and speaks to professional women whom she hopes will serve as role models for her young female audience. Her chosen “Smart Girl” for this week was Tony Award nominee Holland Taylor, who wrote and stars in the one-woman Broadway show Ann, about the life and career of the late Texas governor Ann Richards.
Take a look as Poehler sits down with a partially hair-and-make-up’d Taylor to talk about bringing Governor Richards to the Broadway stage — a discussion they button with a good old-fashioned smart-girl dance party.
