Stage and screen star Tamara Tunie will bring her act, titled “Yes, I Sing! to Feinstein’s at Loews Regency, for one week only, October 30-November 3. The concert will feature re-imagined show tunes and jazz standards. Mike Renzi serves as musical director.
Tunie is best known for her performances as Medical Examiner Melinda Warner on NBC’s Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Jessica Griffin on the CBS soap opera As the World Turns and as Alberta Green on the first season of Fox’s 24. She appeared on stage in Julius Caesar opposite Denzel Washington, Les Liaisons Dangereuses, Lena Horne: The Lady and Her Music, and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, among others. She won a Tony Award as producer of the musical Spring Awakening, and also produced August Wilson’s Radio Golf and Eric Simonson’s Magic/Bird
