Sam Waterston and Jesse Tyler Ferguson Open in Shakespeare in the Park's The Tempest

The Public Theater's Free Shakespeare in the Park production of The Tempest celebrated its opening night June 16 at the Delacorte Theater. Michael Greif directs the production, which runs through July 5.

Sam Waterston (Law & Order) leads the cast as Prospero, with Jesse Tyler Ferguson (Modern Family) taking on the role of Trinculo. The production also stars Francesca Carpanini as Miranda, Louis Cancelmi as Caliban, Chris Perfetti as Ariel, Laura Shoop as Juno, Olga Karmansky as Iris, Tamika Lawrence as Ceres, Danny Mastrogiorgio as Stephano, Charles Parnell as Alonso, Rodney Richardson as Ferdinand, Cotter Smith as Antonio, and Bernard White as Gonzalo. The non-equity ensemble includes Jordan Barrow, Chloe Fox, Thomas Gibbons, Sunny Hitt, Brandon Kalm, Rico Lebron, Suki Lopez, and Matthew Oaks.
