Tony Award winner Debra Monk (Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Redwood Curtain) will celebrate her 65th birthday with a “totally hot and a little dirty” rock concert on February 24. The evening, set to take place at the Gerald W. Lynch Theater at John Jay College, will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

The Debra Monk Birthday Bash (which is using the hashtag #debrabday) will feature the Tony Award winner and her friends performing their favorite rock and pop hits. Celebrity favorites scheduled to join Monk include Charlotte D’Amboise, Scott Ellis, Victor Garber, Andrea Martin, and Ron Rifkin.

“I can't think of a better way to celebrate my birthday than throwing a big ol’ party with great music, stories, and a few dirty jokes thrown in along the way," said Monk in a statement, "I wouldn’t do it, though, if it wasn’t all to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, an organization very near and dear to my heart.”

The evening will be directed by JoAnn Hunter, with music direction by Mary-Mitchell Campbell. Additional special guests will be announced soon. All performers subject to change.
