Rebecca Miller’s film adaptation of her novel The Private Lives of Pippa Lee will open on October 23.
The film stars Robin Wright Penn in the title role, a woman who finds her seemingly perfect life tested when she follows her much older husband (played by Alan Arkin) to a retirement community. The cast also features Blake Lively, Maria Bello, Keanu Reeves, Monica Bellucci, Julianne Moore, Winona Ryder, Mike Binder, and Zoe Kazan.
Miller is the daughter of the late playwright, Arthur Miller. She previously wrote and directed Personal Velocity and The Ballad of Jack and Rose, which starred her husband, Daniel Day Lewis, and Personal Velocity, and worked on the screenplay for the film version of the Pulitzer Prize-winning play Proof.
