1960s Dance Musical Trip of Love Announces Off-Broadway Casting

The hits of the ’60s will come to Stage 42 this fall.

Trip of Love, a new "dance musical spectacle" inspired by and set to the biggest hit songs of the 1960s, has announced casting for its upcoming off-Broadway run at Stage 42 (formerly the Little Shubert Theatre). Performances are set to begin September 26 in advance of an October 18 opening.

The cast will feature Joey Calveri (Rock of Ages), David Elder (Curtains), Kelly Felthous (Flashdance), Dionne Figgins (Motown), Austin Miller (Grease: You’re the One That I Want), Katie Webber (Honeymoon in Vegas), and Laurie Wells (Mamma Mia!). The company will also include Yesenia Ayala, Colin Bradbury, Bo Broadwell, Kyle Brown, Whitney Cooper, Alexa De Barr, Daniel Lynn Evans, Lisa Finegold, Steve Geary, Daryl Getman, Jennifer Gruener, Brandon Leffler, Peter Nelson, Tara Palsha, Kristin Piro, and Nicky Venditti.

Created, directed, and choreographed by James Walski, the production incorporates some of the greatest tunes of the '60s, including "Blowin' in The Wind," "Born to Be Wild," "California Dreamin'," "I Saw Her Standing There," "These Boots Are Made for Walkin'," "White Rabbit," "You Don't Own Me," and many more.

The creative team will feature scenic design by Tony Award winner Robin Wagner (The Producers, Dreamgirls) and costume design by Tony Award winner Gregg Barnes (Aladdin, Kinky Boots).

Trip of Love had its world premiere in April 2008 at the Theatre Brava! in Osaka, Japan.
