Steve Underwood directs Abbie Killeen, James Noel Hoban, and more in the area premiere of Lucas Hnath’s play.
Performances of the Good Theater's Portland, Maine, premiere of Lucas Hnath's A Doll's House, Part 2 begin tonight. The production will run through March 17.
The play is described as follows: "Fifteen years have passed since Nora famously slammed the door. And then there's a knock. Nora has returned. A Doll's House, Part 2 explores, in uproarious fashion, the emotional chaos that results when Nora Helmer comes back home after her sojourn away."
Good Theater cofounder Steve Underwood directs a cast that includes Abbie Killeen as Nora, James Noel Hoban as Torvald, Maureen Butler as the nurse, and Hanna Daly as the daughter.
The creative team includes Underwood (set designer), Justin Cote (costume designer), Iain Odlin (lighting designer), Michael Lynch (production stage manager), Craig Robinson (technical director), and Jared Mongeau (prop designer).
The play was nominated for the 2017 Tony Award for Best Play.
