Davidman’s solo show will play a limited engagement.
Aaron Davidman's Wrestling Jerusalem, directed by Michael John Garcés, will see its New York debut at 59E59 Theaters. The play comes to New York following runs in San Francisco, Minneapolis, Houston, and Washington, D.C. Previews begin March 24, with opening night set for March 30. The limited engagement concludes April 17.
Set in America, Israel, and Palestine, Wrestling Jerusalem follows one man’s journey to understand the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Davidman’s solo show is a personal story that grapples with the complexities of identity, history, and social justice, giving voice to 17 different characters.
The creative team includes scenic designer Nephelie Andonyadis, lighting designer Allen Willner, sound designer Bruno Louchouarn, choreographer Stacey Printz, and technical director Wolfgang Wachalovsky.
Following each performance, a facilitated conversation about the Israel-Palestinian conflict will take place.
