The prized U.K. theater awards will be presented at the Royal Opera House.
Actor and performer Lenny Henry has been selected to host the 2015 Olivier Awards to be held on Sunday, April 12, at London's Royal Opera House. The event is presented by MasterCard with additional support from the British Fashion Council, Bumble and Bumble, Capco (Covent Garden), Divine Chocolate, Harpers, Hildon, and Newmans.
Henry most recently starred in a new production of Rudy’s Rare Records at Hackney. He made his West End stage debut in 2003, receiving great acclaim for his performance in So Much Things to Say at Wyndham’s Theatre. Other roles include the title role in the Northern Broadsides production of Othello, The Comedy of Errors at the National Theatre, and Fences.
Established in 1976, the Olivier Awards, which celebrate the "world-class status of London theater," are one of Britain’s most prestigious stage honors.
Further details of the ceremony will be announced shortly.
