New York City
The show begins performances this evening.
4000 Miles starts its run tonight at Actors Theatre of Louisville.
Leo has already biked from the West Coast to New York City when he arrives at his grandmother Vera’s apartment. The free-spirited, 20-something is tired after an arduous journey, but what starts as a stopover for the night turns into the beginning of a new journey. As the days turn into weeks he and Vera bond over the difficulties of navigating love, life, and loss. Humorous and heartbreaking, the play examines the difficult road to self-acceptance and the unexpected connections that we make along the way.
Written by Amy Herzog, the play will be directed by Mike Donahue. It features Michael Goldsmith as Leo Joseph-Connell, Dee Maaske as Vera Joseph, Justine Salata as Bec, and Kristin Villanueva as Amanda.
The creative team includes Dane Laffrey (set and costume design), Paul Toben (lighting design), Stowe Nelson (sound design), and Hannah Rae Montgomery (dramaturg).
Performances will run through January 31.
