Kroll and Mulaney star as their alter egos George St. Geegland and Gil Faizon in the new Broadway production.
Comedians Nick Kroll and John Mulaney celebrated their Broadway debuts on October 10, when Oh, Hello on Broadway opened at the Lyceum Theatre. Alex Timbers directs the duo as their alter egos Gil Faizon and George St. Geegland.
In Oh, Hello on Broadway, Gil and George are a pair of Alan Alda-obsessed Upper West Side bachelors returning to their New York theatrical roots with the help of a bit too much tuna. Honed for over a decade, the fictional duo garnered a cult following and found their way onto a Comedy Central special, viral videos, and late-night couches everywhere.
Guests at the opening-night festivities included Alda, Jon Hamm, Chris Gethard, Susie Essman, Michael Ian Black, and many others. Check out TheaterMania's photos in the gallery below.
The creative team for Oh, Hello on Broadway is Scott Pask (set design), Jake DeGroot (lighting design), M.L. Dogg (sound design), Basil Twist (nightmare effect design), Patrick McCollum (movement consultant), Emily Rebholz (costume consultant), Leah Loukas (wig consultant), and Annamarie Tendler Mulaney (makeup).
