Alan Ayckbourn's A Brief History of Women to Have Off-Broadway Premiere

The British dramatist will present his 81st play as part of 59E59’s Brits Off Broadway festival.

59E59 Theaters has announced the complete lineup and dates for its annual Brits Off Broadway festival this spring.

The complete list of productions, in date order, is as follows.

We Live By the Sea, devised by Patch of Blue and directed by Alex Howath. Running April 11-May 6, the production stars Alexandra Brain, Tom Coliandris, Lizzie Grace, and Alexandra Simonet, and is produced by Patch of Blue and the Hartshorn-Hook Foundation.

Replay, written and performed by Nicola Wren and directed by George Chilcott. Running April 24-May 13, the production is produced by DugOut Theatre and also features the voices of Will Brown, Tanya Kraljevic, and Mark Weinman.

Alan Ayckbourn's 81st play, A Brief History of Women, will be directed by the playwright. Running April 26-May 27, the production stars Russell Dixon, Antony Eden, Frances Marshall, Laura Matthews, Laurence Pears, and Louise Shuttleworth. It is produced by the Stephen Joseph Theatre.

Kieran Knowles's Operation Crucible, directed by Bryony Shanahan. Running May 8-June 3, the production stars Salvatore D'Aquilla, Kieran Knowles, Christopher McCurry, and James Wallwork. it is produced by McGill Productions Ltd, From The Ground Up Theatre, and the Hartshorn-Hook Foundation.

Brad Birch's Tremor, directed by David Mercatali. Running May 15-June 10, the production is produced by Sherman Theatre and stars Lisa Diveney and Paul Rattray.

Secret Life of Humans, running May 31-July 1. Written by David Byrne and directed by Byrne and Kate Stanley, the production stars Richard Delaney, Olivia Hirst, Andy McLeod, Andrew Strafford-Baker, and Stella Blue Taylor. It is produced by New Diorama Theatre, in co-production with Greenwich Theatre.

Jessica Walker's All I Want Is One Night, running June 5-July 1. Featuring Rachel Austin, Alexandra Mathie, and Jessica Walker, as well as music director Joseph Atkins, the production is produced by Jess Walker Music Theatre, in association with Royal Exchange Theatre.

Police Cops and Police Cops in Space, presented in rotating repertory by the Pretend Men, running June 12-July 1. Featuring Zachary Hunt, Nathan Parkinson, and Tom Roe, the plays are produced by the Pretend Men and New Diorama Theatre.
